Unable to monitor technician

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction or know why this isn't working...

 

I'm set as 'Master Administrator' for my organization and there are certain technicians that I am unable to monitor. I would say that for less than 5% of technician's - it's just unable to connect.

 

I've tried this using different administrators and all are having the same issue and we can't figure it out.

 

Is there any reason this would happen?


As far as I know, there's nothing the technician can do to prevent monitoring... Or is there?

Cant connect to unattended access with a domain account.

I have some laptops that have been set up with Unattended access for LogMeInRescue.

When i try to connect I am asked for a username and password, but the account that I'm entering although its an admin acount, is a domain and local admin and i am refused access.

 

If i try using a local admin account then it will connect without issue.

 

Is there a way around this when using an admin account that also has domain priviliges?

 

I really dont see why there should be an issue when the domain login also has local admin rights but it does seem to make a difference.

 

Any help with this would be greatfully recieved

White Screen only upon login

Since logmein began requiring extra security protocol, when I login to my account and attempt to access the remote desktops all I see is a white screen. 

 

It is not a password issue as it allows me to login to my account.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No mouse input to remote session

I am currently away from my office for 6 weeks and have both a laptop and iPad with me, both with LogMeIn clients loaded. Both were working fine, but the laptop, when connectd to the remote device, now fails to recognise any mouse input on the remote device. I can select menu options on the LogMeIn client but nothing selects on the remote host.

 

If I connect via my iPad LogMeIn app, it works just fine, so it's not the remote host at fault.

 

Any ideas?

Wake up device after IP conflict

Hello All,

 

I have a remote PC (Raspberry PI) in other city, which is connected via LogMeIn Hamachi network to my PC.

I needed to do some testing today and burned image copy to another Raspberry PI.

 

So, I had two devices in the same network with the same IPs!

 

As a result remote Raspberry went offline. Could anyone be kind to help me?

 

I would ask is there a way to reconnect it remotely? But this probably won't happen.

So, my question is: can I expect my remote device back online, will it reconnect itself automatically (testing device is currently off)?

 

Will reboot solve the problem with remote device?

Hi guys

 

was wondering if there is a way for me to push out a script to all technicians from my admin account and set it to deploy the script automatically when they log in to a PC.

LogMeIn Video Decoder

I have no idea where else to post this, so will do it here.

Recently got a large .avi file (video) which I have tried to play on several video players (WMP, DivX, Camtasia Player, etc.) and they all play only audio with black screen -- and all say it needs "Logmein Video Decoder" ...  after an hour or so of searching Google and discussion boards, I find a lot of other people having this problem and NO solution posted that I've found yet.

I ran dxdiag and found that both the Decoder and Encoder ARE on my system, so I searched for racodec.ax and found SEVEN versions in various sub-folders of /Program Files/Logmein/

My question here is:  how do I get the video players to see/use the racodec.ax codec to play .avi files encoded with the Logmein video encoder?

and, as a side question, I have not found any info on Logmein site or elsewhere about ENcoding files with that encoder...  any pointers?

Is it possible in LogMeIn Rescue to deply a script to multiple computers at once without acctually connecting to them?

I have noticed a trend when reimaging computers on my network. Before imaging these computers would show up in the list of computers that I can connect to via the CONNECT ON LAN feature. I have disabled the UAC on all these computers. Is there any way that I can force these computers to show up? Any help would be appreciated.

Sup guys! Is it possible to open screen recording videos of LMI rescue sessions on Mac OS? Are there some codecs for Mac available?

I'm tryingto get away from Freshdesk so we can bring out helpdesk ticketing in-house. For the ticketing, we chose osTicket. It's simple, but customizable enough to create our workflow in.

 

We, correction, I, am trying to building a Rescue API to generate a) a new rescue PIN and b) create the email text and links for the End User to be able to iniate the Rescue Session.

 

The above is vary much like the Freshdesk 'Logmein Rescue' integration that is avaialble to their clients on their plugins panel. A button is created in the Support Agents incoming tickets template and clicking it generates a Rescue PIN and pastes in an email to the reply, with links for the Rescue session..................

 

I cannot find ANY examples of how to do this.

 

I'll admit, I AM NOT a coder, I'm a cross platform infrastructure guy with a good smattering of SQL and SSADM. WE (as in the people I'm doing the Support for, voluntarily I may add) are a charitable org in the States...I'm UK based, and operate and run their Tech Support functions for their End Users. My Customers /End Users are mostly NON-Technical and therefore don't want to be reading detail and having to copy and paste stuff and operate over what would be three separate sites.

 

I have PHP5.x, html and a few other bits at my disposal and don't mind getting my hands dirty

 

 

I literally THROW myself at you guys mercy and if there is anything infrastructure/technology wise I can do in retuen, all the better...

 

 

Is anyone able to help please?

Display refresh issues when another tech is invited to session.

Thhe issue has started occuring over the past couple of weeks:

 

Login to a PC

Invite another technician into session

Display stops refreshing and you must end and relaunch session to correct display.

 

Alternatively:

Be invited into session by another technician

Display stops refreshing and you must end and relaunch session to correct display.

 

I have tested this within an internal network aswell as with technicians in other states, I have tested this from pc's off site to pc's off site to rule out the internal network causing the fault.

 

It happens nearly every time a technician is invited into the session how ever very rarely the fault does not occur.

He tried logging in, but it said he had to confirm something, so he did, but it said he had to log in again, so he can't! Can someone help my friend log back into his account?

Unable to remote control one of computers because of "restricted" notice

Hello,

I'm unable to remote control one of my computers. It is shaded out and says "restricted" by it. Both of my computers are connected to each other (POS's) however one has the pro version of logmein and the other the free version.

I've never had a problem remotely connecting to either one. Is this something new with the freebee version? I'm the only one who has access to/uses logmein so I shouldnt have gotten blocked out. Suggestions?

LMIR Tech Console won't load in New Windows 10 PC

I just purchased a new MSI super powerful MSI GT80S laptop with Windows 10.  I installed the Tech Console application from the admin panel and it seemingly went ok.  No errors.  However, when I click on it to run, I immediately get a white LogMeIn Rescue Technician Console window that is blank and after a while, I get a LMIRTechConsole.exe has stopped working.  It then closes.

 

Looking in the event log, it gives me this:

The only thing I could find about this error was related to other programs talking about Firewall... So to make sure, I added it to the firewall.  I even went to the length of uninstalling my ANtiVirus and going back to the built in AV/Firewall.  No change.  So I went in and added the software to the approved firewall list.  Still, no changes.

 

Any ideas?  This is my main PC from now on and I'm our main support rep.  Without me being able to use it, we will have to use a different product other than LMI... which I don't want to do.  I have enjoyed the Rescue software.

I just went to use the LogMeIn Rescue application and I'm not getting a code.  Also, when my user attempts to go to LogMeIn123.com its coming up not responding.  I can get to the redirect page but its VERY SLOW.  I've tried all 3 methods to generate codes and they're either not working or taking a very long time.
